like somehow, somewhere, there were families where crying wasn’t punished and called a sign of weakness. where you didn’t get shoved or hit or screamed at for crying. there were families where you didn’t have to turn into an unmovable statue person out of desperation, stone-faced and cold

there were families where you were allowed to cry, and where crying actually had an effect on other people, and one that didn’t make them violent
